Celebrating Chinese New Year in year 2021 is definitely different from years before.
Instead of buying new clothes, red clothes, this year we are more into shopping for red colour mask instead.
Whats the point of buying new clothes if we can’t go back to home town and celebrating CNY anyway, right?
Plus, everyone also no money this year, better wear last year’s clothes which still hanging inside the closet. I just figured that I haven’t wear all of them yet.
Not only we don’t buy new clothes this year, we can’t even visit anyone, even though we are living nearby. Can’t even go visit neighbor’s house.
But we still allowed to have our reunion dinner the day before CNY anyway, since MKN just ban us from having reunion dinner at first and second day of CNY.
We Chinese have our reunion dinner the day before CNY anyway, no doesn’t affect us much.
In fact, banning of visiting houses are only applicable for the first and second day of CNY.
So we can still visit friend’s houses start from third day of CNY. In fact, CNY last for 15 days.
Seems like the MKN minister don’t know that.
Since MKN minister is consulting Churches association regarding how should Chinese celebrate CNY, I guess CNY is not a Chinese festival, it is a Christian celebrating, according to the MKN minister.(Bodoh!)
So I wish all Christian “Happy Chinese New Year!”
I think we all non-Christian should celebrate CNY by calling it something else start from next year, since the minister think CNY stands for “Christian New Year”.
Oh, we are allowed to go Pasar Malam at first and second day of CNY.
